Heart Health: What Women Should Know about Themselves and Their Families

Coronary heart disease and stroke are the No.1 and No. 3 killers of Americans today.  The good news is that by making a commitment to a heart-healthy lifestyle, you can reduce all of the modifiable risk factors for heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.

In February 2009, Guideposts will present a special advertising section on Heart Health with content provided by the American Heart Association to encourage our readers to practice better lifestyle habits and make the simple choices that make a big difference.

Women’s Wellness & Beauty

A woman’s health is the foundation for all aspects of her life, including mental agility, energy, overall wellness, and beauty.

In April 2009, Guideposts will present Women’s Wellness & Beauty – a special advertising section dedicated to helping our female readers get the most out of their lives.  We’ll provide the tips and tools they need to take the time to take care of themselves.  Don’t miss your chance to join us in delivering valuable information to over 6 million female Guideposts readers.

Arthritis & You

Arthritis continues to be one of the most prevalent chronic health problems - affecting 46 million - or about 1 in 5 adults.  The disease strikes women more than men, and the number of people affected is growing as the population ages.  For many people, arthritis not only affects the joints, but the whole body, primarily the muscles and bones, limiting everyday activities and job responsibilities.  Half of those Americans with arthritis don’t think anything can be done to help them.

In October 2008, Guideposts will present a special advertising section, Arthritis and You - dedicated to managing and overcoming arthritis pain and improving the quality of life for those who suffer from one of the 100 forms of the disease.

The Many Faces of Diabetes:  Time to Take Control

As the numbers continue to rise of adults and children who are diagnosed with diabetes, so does the need for education and materials on the warning signs and health risks of diabetes.  The Many Faces of Diabetes special advertising section will help readers take charge of their health and control their diabetes.

In November 2008, this empowering special advertising section will address a variety of topics to optimize one’s health – whether they have diabetes or are learning how to stay free of the disease.

A Guide to Summer Fun

The summer months seem to go by so fast, you want to enjoy each minute!

In June 2009, Guideposts will present a special advertising section dedicated to helping our readers get the most out of their summer – A Guide to Summer Fun.

Financial Security: What You Need to Consider

Guideposts readers are in their prime years, and seeking ways to live their lives to the fullest, while ensuring their financial security and making the most of their retirement plans. Managing their money in an ever changing economy is a high priority for them and they actively seek advice from reputable sources on the best investment options for them.

In September 2009, Guideposts will present a special advertising section on Financial Security: What You Need to Consider - to encourage our readers to adopt smart money management practices now to get the most out of their retirement years.

For the Love of Pets

Pets provide faithful companionship that greatly enriches people’s lives.  Our pets quickly become members of our family, bringing a lot of energy and love into our lives – as well as new responsibilities.

In October 2008, Guideposts will partner with the American Humane Association to present a special advertising section – for the love of pets, dedicated to the joys of pet ownership.  This new section will not only celebrate the special bond we have with our pets, but also provide our readers with important information they need to properly care for and protect their furry friends.
